The New Trier Sailing Team (NTST) was represented by Lizzy Hamilton, Stephanie Hudson, & Kim Johnson at the 2009 Club 420 Midwinters. The ladies arrived in Florida past midnight, early in the morning of February 13. At the West Palm Beach Airport, they were met by Coach Matt Clark and Stephanie's crew, Rebecca King of Santa Monica, CA. On Friday morning, the ladies prepared their boats for a full day of practice. While back home in Winnetka the temperatures were in the low teens, the sailors basked under the sunny skies of central Florida in temps around 78 degrees!
Racing ran from Saturday to Monday with light winds on the first two days followed by 15 to 20 knot breezes on President's Day. Following the completion of nine races, the sailors packed up their boats for the return trip back to Chicago Yacht Club where the 420s will remain on the CYC trailor until the first Spring practice on March 14. Also in attendance from MISSA were Katie Bill, Will Haeger, Ian Hollerbach, Kelly Seago, and Sarah Somes.
