A creeper all the way around.
Shifty breezes, slight swells and bright sunshine. All in all, it could be worse. The sailors wanted a little more breeze (Thursday they wanted a little less.) A sampling of opinions coming off the water was that the race committee was too precise (actually, slow) on the starting sequences and setting the course in a wind that was really shifty. Phil Crain (alum of St John's in TX; a part-time MISSA guest sailor and now a frosh at MIT) expressed the frustration that it was a slow day all around.
Most of the sailors had one good race and one mediocre race. We'll see when the scores are posted. SailGroove.com has good on the water coverage, but Chris Love, the Sail Groove rep, is trapped on the lunch boat and has to wait for action to come to him.
