The team arrived in Tampa this morning to compete in the ISSA Fleet Racing Championship for the Mallory Trophy. The team consisted of:
Drew Shea and Kim Johnson
Stephanie Hudson and Cole Rice
Michael Cornew and Scott Bartuska
Mark Gargula and Amy Baxter
Matt had the kids practice in both the Vanguard 420, which they're used to, and the FJ, a boat we don't see in the Midwest. The winds ranged from 7 - 12 kts and everyone got in a good practice day.
This evening after a brief reception, the Competitors Meeting was held at the St Petersburg Yacht Club.
Tomorrow racing begins at 9:30. Check back for updates and photos.
